Taylon Skylights' UL Smoke Vent Aluminum Skylight is engineered to provide optimal fire safety and daylighting for commercial and industrial buildings. Certified to UL 793 standards, it is designed to automatically release smoke, heat, and combustion gases during a fire event, enhancing occupant safety and aiding firefighting operations. The smoke vent includes a fusible link for automatic activation, along with an exterior manual release, ensuring reliability and compliance with fire safety codes such as the International Fire Code (IFC) and NFPA 204.

Constructed with durable aluminum and equipped with gas spring actuators, the skylight opens safely against a 10 PSF snow or wind load, suitable for Class 90 roof systems. Its polycarbonate dome is impact-tested to 1,000 lbs, providing both damage resistance and high-quality natural light with 80% visible light transmission, minimal haze, and 100% diffusion. The patented Diamond Series dome design ensures superior structural integrity while admitting daylight to improve interior illumination and reduce reliance on artificial lighting.
