Taylon Skylights’ UL Smoke MaxAir Skylight – 10 PSF is engineered to provide superior fire safety and natural daylighting for commercial and industrial buildings. Certified to UL 793 standards, this automatic smoke vent releases smoke, heat, and toxic gases during a fire, enhancing occupant safety and supporting firefighting operations. Equipped with a UL-listed fusible link for automatic activation and exterior manual release options, it ensures reliable operation and full compliance with the International Fire Code (IFC) and NFPA 204. Its high-performance polycarbonate dome delivers impact resistance, thermal protection, and even natural light with 80% visible light transmission, minimal haze, and 100% diffusion.

The integrated MaxAir vented base provides 11 square feet of natural ventilation while preventing wind-driven rain with its built-in rain shield. Standard features, including bird screens, insect screens, and dust filters, ensure clean airflow and a dry interior environment. The passive ventilation system releases hot, humid, or stale air that naturally accumulates near the ceiling, reducing reliance on mechanical cooling and supporting ASHRAE Standard 62.1-2022 requirements for indoor air quality in commercial spaces.

The patented Diamond Series dome design enhances structural strength, maximizes daylighting, and distributes light evenly throughout interior spaces. Constructed with high-performance, impact-resistant polycarbonate, the dome withstands up to 1,000 lbs while providing long-term durability and safety.
